New Self-Tuning Engine Management System From Professional Products

Professional Products Stage 2 EMS utilizes a wide-band O2 sensor to continually tune and adjust the engine for varying conditions and driving styles. It can drive 16 high-impedance or 8 low-impedance injectors. Installation is simple too, with a minimum number of wires that are clearly labeled and fitted with OE-style GM connectors. The Stage 2 EMS is compatible with most popular ignition systems including vintage breaker-point ignitions. It will even operate with coil-on-plug ignitions when teamed with an MSD or other aftermarket ignition controller. It is the perfect EMS for late-model EFI engines installed in early-model project cars.

For those who like to tinker and want to manually program their EFI, Professional Products includes its Dashboard software to do that. However, most pro tuners have found it difficult to improve on the Smart-Tune technology.

Quick Fuel Technology Keeping Fuel Cool!

The QFT Fuel Line/By-Pass Regulator kit works for most 4150-style carbs and requires a fuel return line. Installing the QFT by-pass regulator helps prevent vapor lock and erratic throttle response during stop-and-go driving. The return line attaches to the bottom of the fuel regulator and should return to the top of the fuel tank. The return line needs to be the same size as the feed line.

At idle, fuel demand is at it lowest, but the fuel pump continues to operate. If you have an electric fuel pump located near the tank, it applies pressure to the entire fuel line, raising the boiling point of the fuel. The line continues to soak up heat and as the fuel reaches the carburetor, it turns into foam and vapor resulting in poor performance. By circulating the fuel back to the tank, the fuel never sits inside the fuel inlet line, where excessive heat can cause fuel delivery problems.
