Chevys are Supreme at Goodguys Event

Bowtie Brigade treated to nitro-burning Chevys at Indy

Delaware die-hard Chevy racer Steve Nichols has a nitro burning rat motor in his 1970 Camaro AA/FD. With Ray Zeller tuning, the Camaro rumbled to a 6.156/232.  (Jeff Burk photos)

If you are a fan of Chevys, cruising, racing or nitro burning Chevy-powered Funny Cars and Dragsters and you didn’t make it to the Goodguys Hot Rod Nationals at fabled O’Reilly Raceway Park in Indianapolis on June 12-14, you really missed it. For the Bowtie Brigade there was plenty of Chevy powered rods and racers on the grounds.

The assignment was to give our readers a feel for the event, and we hope you enjoy the tour.

[We apologize that we don’t have names to go with all of the cars. If yours appears with no credit drop us a line here at editor@maxchevy.com  and we will put your name and car info as a caption under the photo of your ride. Thanks.]

The Goodguys arranged for a cruise of the Indy Brickyard. This ultra nice Chevy pickup crossed the yard of bricks and the finish line right in front of us. (Don Eckert photo)
