August in Missouri is often a time easily mistaken for Hell’s off-season; temperatures are routinely measured with three digits, and humidity levels approach that of a swimming pool. It’s remarkable, then, that the weather cooperated for the third annual First O’Fallon Car Show, held by the First Baptist Church there. Cloudless skies, a high in the eighties, and cool breezes welcomed everyone to the show.

While the show is in only its third year, it’s grown each time. The first year saw just over a hundred cars exhibited; this year better than 300 vehicles were on display, free for both visitors and entrants alike. And if getting to scope out some cool cars without paying wasn’t neat enough, there was plenty of free food and drink to be had.
