The 59th Annual World Series of Drag Racing at historic Cordova Dragway Park in Illinois is not only an extravaganza of nitro and exhibition racing, but for Nostalgia Super Stock racers it is the fourth of the five-race Victory Performance Nostalgia Super Stock series presented by Mickey Thompson Tires. It is also the most prestigious race on the schedule and the one every racer wants to win.

In the end that the vastly outnumbered Chevy competitors overcame the odds and 71-year-old Charlie Kuenster and his 409 “W” engined ‘59 Chevy Impala powered to the win, beating a Mopar in the final.
