Martin Truex Jr., No. 78 Furniture Row Visser Protection Chevrolet SS finished in fifth place, and he moved into the runner-up position in the current series point standings. Ryan Newman was seventh in his No.31 Caterpillar Chevrolet SS, and reigning NASCAR Sprint Cup champion, Kevin Harvick, finished eighth in his No. 4 Outback Steakhouse Chevy SS after being involved in an early multi-car accident. Harvick holds a 40-point lead over Truex Jr. in the standings.

Ryan Blaney (Ford) was fourth overall in the final order.

The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series heads to Kansas City, Kansas next weekend to race under the lights on Saturday evening, May 9, at Kansas Speedway.
