Coming at you from all directions is Tommy Kusmiesz’s Cranberry Red, LT1 engine, 1970 Yenko Deuce which has recorded a best of 13.73/102.62 at Raceway Park, Englishtown, New Jersey.

Pittsgrove, New Jersey’s Thomas “Tommy” Kusmiesz is the proud owner of this all-original, 52,000-mile Cranberry Red 1970 Yenko Nova.  This little Deuce is powered by the legendary -- and potent -- LT-1 engine and backed by a durable TH350 transmission. But don’t let the car’s originality, and its blue chip value (in the neighborhood of $150,000-175,000) intimidate you. It certainly doesn’t intimidate Tommy. You see, Kusmiesz routinely does what few Yenko owners only dream of doing. He races his hybrid Nova at the drags, and with reasonable success we might add.

These days, Kusmiesz competes with his Yenko Deuce at nostalgia events like the Yenko Sport Car Club’s yearly “Supercar Reunion,” held Labor Day Weekend at Gateway International Raceway in St. Louis, where Tommy and his Cranberry Deuce won the 2006 version of the “Deuce Shootout’ against the Yenko Deuce Registry’s Marlin Spotts driving his Gobi Beige ’70.
