1 Car, 2 Days, 602 HP

Lingenfelter Performance Engineering (LPE) was chosen to supply the engine package in the RideTech 48 Hour Camaro build-up project.

The Lingenfelter 602 HP, LS3 package features CNC ported heads, 11.5:1 compression, Comp Cams valve train, and a Holley Avenger EFI, oil pan, headers and engine swap package.

Lingenfelter's LS3 engine package is at the heart of the 48 Hour Camaro build, a project created by suspension manufacture RideTech to transform a restored 1967 Camaro into a custom pro-tour type hot rod in less than 48 hours.

Lingenfelter's Director of Operations Mike Copeland was on hand during the buildup to oversee the engine portion of the project. The 48 Hour Camaro also features Forgeline GA3 wheels, a Muncie 4-speed with a Gear Vendors overdrive, a Moser 12 bolt rear end, 14" 6 piston Baer Brakes and a complete RideTech suspension with their new Triple Adjustable coilover shocks.

The major theme of the project was to demonstrate quality and ease of installation of the components built for Camaros by leading aftermarket companies.

"The Lingenfelter LS3 package has surpassed every expectation I had for this project. More than 600 horsepower with a warranty...who could ask for more!" said RideTech President Bret Voelkel.

The Camaro, which was completed in 47 hours, has already competed in two autocross and road course events, and can be seen at various performance driving events throughout 2011. Visit www.48hourcamaro.com for dates.
